Snow Snakes

                In a ski resort in Finland skiers claim that they have seen snakes on the slopes.  This seemed fairly unlikely so hepetoligist Leslie Anthony investigated.  She found that under the snowpack there were rocks like the ones that the snakes like to live in.  She concluded that when winter came around the snakes went to the slopes and hid in the rocks.  When  it was spring the snakes came out to warm up in the sun.  The  snakes are mildly poisonious but nobody has been bitten.  There are two main reasons nobody has been biten.  One reason is that you are moving so the snakes are unlikely to follow you.  The other reason is that, as with most animals, snakes are more afraid of you than you are of them.
